Growing up in central Illinois, I was taught the importance of hard work from a young age. At age 11, my father helped me to start a yard mowing company that went on to finance my college tuition. I learned important time management skills while attending college, playing on the golf team, and keeping my business running. After graduating from MacMurray College, I worked as a golf professional for 8 years. Through this experience, I learned a great deal about patience and coaching.
My first experience with real estate was flipping houses while in Illinois. I was mentored by several professionals whom I met through my golf career, and started to understand the business of real estate. Following this, my wife and I moved multiple times throughout the United States while she was serving in the United States Air Force. This helped me gain more insight and personal experience into buying and selling real estate properties.
We chose Columbia as a place to call home due to proximity to family, cost of living, and the community resources of a university city. Over time we have grown to love the people and our neighborhood, the Hamptons.
My background has given me the perfect blend of skills to help clients find their new home. I especially enjoy assisting new home owners make the transition from renting to investing in their new home. My strengths are patience, coaching, problem solving, and negotiation.
I chose The ART of Real Estate because of their client centered environment. The team is stronger at working together because of all the resources for buyers and sellers, mentorship opportunities, and community development goals. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family, and of course fitting in a good round of golf.
